Sport at Dairy Flat School

Dairy Flat School prides itself in trying to encourage children and families to be active and be part of a team. Primary school offers a perfect time for children to have a go at various sports.  We only ask for commitment , fair play and have fun!

Basketball/Miniball are now running on a two term sign up and commitment. 

Games are played at Stanmore Bay Leisure centre on the below days.

Tuesdays                 Yr 5 & 6 Basketball    24/3/2026  13 weeks 
Wednesdays            Yr 1 & 2 Miniball       25/3/2026  13 weeks
Thursdays               Yr 3 & 4 Miniball        26/3/2026  13 weeks

Cost breakdown:

$115 per player – (Player fee including BBNZ levy) paid through Gameday once the team and player are registered. 

$ 50 per player ( $20 is team entry, $20 uniform fee and $10 school admin fee)  into school Bank account once team entries are confirmed.

Total cost  per player : $165 for Semester One 

PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION THAT YOUR CHILD IS IN A TEAM!

Practices can be in the school hall or on the outside court before or after school. Coaches and Managers will decide on practice times.

 NO TEAM WILL BE ENTERED until they have a Coach and a Manager.

Games are played on Saturday mornings at Pinehurst School – the competition is run by Kidzplay. 

Winter Season Dates

The 2026 Winter Season will run from 9th May to 27th June and from 25th July to29th August (13 weeks). No netball on 30th  May – King’s Birthday Weekend

Registrations close 9th March 2026.

Fees will be approximately $120 per child – this includes a uniform hire fee plus umpire fees. 

These will be due once teams are finalized.

If your child commits to a team, they are committing to play the whole season of 13 weeks and to attending practice sessions. 

NO TEAM WILL BE ENTERED IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A COACH AND MANAGER

Season starts Monday 4th May –  24th August ( 14 weeks – excludes Kings Birthday and School holidays.) 

Children will require their own hockey stick, shin pads and gum guard. 

Games are played at Rosedale on a Monday night between 4.00pm – 6.00pm 

Registrations close 9th March 2026

Fees will be approximately ( this is dependent on how many children are in a team)  

Year 3-6 $195 per child  

Year 0-2 $160 per child 

This includes a uniform hire fee, turf fees and umpire fees. 

Payment will be due once your child is placed in a team.
